What is a water efficiency certificate? Water efficiency certificate is a MUST if you are considering renting or leasing your property, with intentions of charging water usage to your tenants.

According to the RTA (Queensland) tenants can only be charged for water usage if:

• The property is individually metered
• The property is water efficient.
• The tenancy agreement stipulates that the tenant must pay water usage

Our Water Efficiency Certifications are carried out by licensed plumbers to ensures your property is compliant with current plumbing regulations and certifications – This is what is Involved:

• Ensure all plumbing fixtures are Watermark approved & WELS Rated
• Check the following:- Mixer taps and internal cold water taps must not exceed 9 Litres per minute (this excludes Garden hose taps, Bathtub outlets and Water points for appliances)- Shower heads must not exceed 9 Litres per minute- Toilets must have a dual flushing cistern not exceeding 6.5 Litres on a full flush and 3.5 Litres on half flush
• If all fixtures pass the Water Efficiency audit a Water Efficiency Certification will be issued. All non-conforming fixtures will be discussed on-site with the customer to ensure the Water Efficiency Certificate is issued as soon as possible
