Install Inclusions and Extras

SUPPLY & INSTALL EXPECTATIONS –

• Upon completion of transaction a representative of Trend Plumbing & Home Solutions will be in contact to book a date for installation.

• Installation of products sold is only currently available to customers located between Noosa to South Brisbane, if you are unsure if your area is covered by our installation service, please contact Services & Installations (0447 678 670).

All installing technicians are trade qualified, licensed and insured. Trend Plumbing & Home Solutions does have installing technicians, however we reserve the right to engage contractors where required.

It is expected that we provide a 100% satisfaction guarantee with our products and services.

Installation of products is a ‘like for like’ service unless otherwise stated. It is the customer’s obligation to determine whether the install is a ‘like for like’ install.
‘Like for Like’ generally means disconnection and disposal of existing products and new one installed with no alterations to cabinetry, structures, water services, electrical services or waste lines. If the attending technician determines variations are required they will advise prior to commencing installation.

If installation cannot be carried out the following will occur:

• A restocking fee of 30% will be applicable to the product price, alternatively the goods can be kept by the customer
• An attendance fee will be charge ($99) with the remaining balance of the sale credited back via the original method of transaction.
• Transactional fees (i.e. Stripe, PaypPal) will be excluded from any form or refund

Installation services are currently limited to the following areas (Queensland):

• Noosa/ Wide Bay area
• Sunshine Coast & Surrounding Hinterlands
• Moreton Bay Area
• North Brisbane (as far South as Chermside)

We do not service South Brisbane currently

If an installation package is selected in an area we do not service, a refund will be issued for the installation and the product will be sent via our postage services.

Plumbing Service Inclusions – For additional services and product outside of these inclusions please refer to the ‘extras’ section:

 

Electric Hot Water Systems (Like for Like)

• Supply new hot water system
• Isolate water and electrical services and disconnect existing hot water system
• Install new valves (if opted for)
• Position new hot water system and connect to existing water service
• Lag copper pipework and secure according to AS3500
• Submit Form 4 to local Council
• For heat pump hot water systems, prices are subject to STC sign over to us as the installers

Please note:

• If further work outside this scope is required, additional costs will be chargeable to the customer at the discretion of the attending technician(s)
• If the hot water system element needs to be changed – an extra $50 is chargable
• If the existing hot water system is in a challenging to access area that requires two men or additional labour, extras costs will apply
• Hot water system must be on a stable base elevated above the finished ground to prevent pooling of water around the hot water unit, supply of a base will incur additional costs
• If drain lines are required to be run, additional costs will incur- If the hot water system needs to be relocated, additional costs will incur
• If extra valves require replacing, additional costs will incur – This includes variation is sizes
• If the electrical circuit, RCD or other components need to be upgraded or replaced to be compliant, additional costs will incur

• Pizza Base – $100
• 15mm Standard Tempering Valve – $100
• 15mm High Performance Tempering Valve – $150

• 20mm High Performance Tempering Valve – $200 
• 15mm Duo/ Non-return Isolating Valve – $50
• 20mm Duo/Non-Return Isolating Valve – $70
• Mildred Valve – $250
• 15mm Pressure Reduction/Limiting Valve – $100
• 20mm Pressure Reduction/Limiting Valve – $110
• Additional copper (15mm) pipework Extended – $50 Per Metre

Tap & Mixer Tap installs (Like for Like) 

• Supply of product selected
• Isolate water, disconnect existing tapware and dispose
• Install product in compliance with manufacture guidelines
• Test and commission
• Please note –
  – No allowance is made to adjust sink waste lines or water services
  – No allowance is made to make alterations to cabinetry

Under Sink Boiling, Chilled and/or Sparkling Units 

• Supply of product selected
• Create a hole in sink (S/S Sink only) for tap (if required) – If a hole needs to be drilled in the benchtop, additional costs will occur (please call us prior).
• Install new unit using existing water services and electrical powerpoint
• Commission as per manufacturer guidelines
• Please note –
  – No allowance is made to adjust sink waste lines or water services
  – No allowance is made to make alterations to cabinetry
  – No allowance is made to install new powerpoints or alter electrical services

 

Whole House & UV Water filter systems

• Supply of product selected
• Access existing water service at point of entry into house
• Mount Water filter system, cut into existing water service and connect inlet and outlet to new water filter system
• Supply and install new isolation valves (no bypass)
• Flush water line and water filter system of impurities and commission product according to manufacturer guidelines
• Please note –
  – for UV systems that require power, an existing power point must be present. If a new power point is required additional costs will be incurred
  – The water service entering the house must be accessible (i.e located and not under concrete)
  – No allowance is made to cut or jackhammer concrete

 

Under Sink Water Filter system 

• Supply of product selected
• Create a hole in sink (S/S Sink only) for tap (if required) – If a hole needs to be drilled in the benchtop, additional costs will occur (please call us prior).
• Install new filter system using existing water services
• Please note –
  – No allowance is made to adjust sink waste lines or water services
  – No allowance is made to make alterations to cabinetry

 

Shower heads, Shower Rails and Combination Shower systems 

• Supply of product selected
• Disconnect existing shower outlet
• Install new shower outlet (drilling hole into existing tiles may be required)
• Commission as per manufacturer guidelines

 

Hose Tap Replacements

• Supply new 1/4 turn hose taps
• Isolate water to property
• Replace existing hose tap with new tap
